It is once again our great pleasure to host a new set of free weekend workshops: “Test automation basics” and “Get started with Frontend development”.
“Test automation basics” workshop
What we’ll cover:
- Theory:
- What is Automation Testing?
- Why do automated testing?
- Which Test Cases to automate?
- Define the scope of automation
- Benefits of automation testing
- In practice:
- Setup a Maven project for writing automation tests
- Writing a basic Selenium test
- Writing automated tests in JAVA
The workshop is intended for beginners, but it would help if you are familiar with one of the Java development environments (such as IntelliJ, NetBeans or Eclipse). To make sure we are as efficient as possible, each attendee should set up and configure JDK and one of the aforementioned environments.
You should bring your computer to the workshop.

“Get started with Frontend development” workshop
What we’ll cover:
- Theory:
- How do web browsers function?
- What is Frontend development?
- What is the difference between Frontend and Backend?
- HTML/CSS/JS – the basics
- In practice:
- Setting up a dev environment
- Presenting a mini-project we’re about to build
- Implementing the mini-project
You may apply to the Frontend workshop by filling the form or go to the meetup.com and apply but you must fill the form to complete application.
The workshops will be held at ICTHub Playground at Kralja Milana 10, entrance from Devojački park on Sunday 25th of March 2018. The “Test automation basics workshop” will start at 12PM, while the “Get started with Frontend development” workshop is scheduled to start at 4PM. We estimate each workshop to last 4 hours for 20-25 participants.
