QASerbia June: the month of workshops

Hello everyone!

Let’s get in shape for summer with an entire month of workshops! While others are sweating away at the gym, you can enjoy stamping out bugs with us 🙂

The workshops are realized through the QA Serbia community and the QAITive community education project.

Let’s start with “API Testing” workshop

What we’ll cover:

  • REST – def., pros and cons
  • SOAP – def, pros and cons
  • Types of requests (GET, POST)
  • JMeter examples
  • POSTMAN examples
  • RestAssured & Java examples
  • How to test APIs

The workshop will be held at ICT Hub, Kralja Milana 10 on Saturday 9th of June 2018  from 11 AM. The workshop will last 4 hours.

Please bring your own laptop!

Moving on to the “Fundamentals of testing” workshop

What we will be covering:

  • What are responsibilities of a QA Engineer
  • Why is testing important?
  • Types of test cases
  • Creating test cases
    • Minimal set of elements for creating test cases
    • Optimal set of elements for creating test cases

The workshop will be held at ICT Hub, Kralja Milana 10 on Saturday 23rd of June 2018  from 11 AM. The workshop will last 4 hours.

 

And finally the “Getting started with test automation” workshop

What you will hear:

  • What is test automation?
  • Why bother writing automated tests?
  • Which test cases should you automate?
  • Defining the range of automation
  • Advantages of automated testing
  • Set up Maven for automated tests
  • Write a basic Selenium test
  • Writing automated tests in Java.

The workshop will be held at ICT Hub, Kralja Milana 10 on Saturday 23rd of June 2018  from 4PM. The workshop will last 4 hours.

You may apply to the workshop by filling the chosen form or go to the meetup.com and apply but you must fill the form to complete application.

Attendance is limited: we will notify you if you three to four days in advance with a list of attendees and contact you by phone to secure your arrival.
