As a freelance frontend developer for 4 years and a frontend developer / team lead at Quantox technology with experience on large as well as small scale projects, I’ve worked in environments where testing was unnecessary and where testing is obligatory.
TDD has grown over the past few years and it’s important for developers to embrace it, to ensure that we bring quality experiences to the users that are well thought out and it gives you a different thinking perspective on how to code and what the best practices are. It improves you as a developer and that is important.
Writing tests both provides a better user experiences and a general different approach in writing your code and makes you think before even writing a line of code and question whether the approach you’re using is going to be the right approach.
